5: Why don’t we normally remember our past lives? Why do we age?
The nature of this universe is change. That is the reason why time exists. There is also a state that is ‘outside of time’ where everything exists simultaneously but we don’t normally perceive it because we don’t normally need it to refine our existence. So, we will focus on what we do perceive which is the passing of time. Like all things that we perceive, the flow of time is dependent on the observer. Mechanical clocks use gravity as their basis so they will not move at the same rate when in a different gravitational field from which they were calibrated. Furthermore, gravity is considered a curvature in time/space so you can see that ‘time’ really is flexible.
Karma is like the universe’s way of giving us a nudge in the right direction. That would imply, a change in direction. The main reason that we grow old and die is because we mold ourselves into someone that is full of set answers/reactions, someone that can’t learn or evolve. Like someone who is a racist, thinking that every one of “those” types of people is like “this”. That’s why even though I’m saying that I have some answers, I always remind that these are answers that I believe for now, and are subject to change/revision. Anyway, since the nature of the universe is change, when we stop changing on the inside, the outside changes through deterioration. I’m not saying that it’s bad to get old either, since there is no ‘perfect’ state there will always be a need for a change of lives to fully change a perspective. Of course there are those that don’t die of old age. It just means that they DID learn what they needed while they were here.
We don’t remember our past lives normally, because we are given what we need to evolve, in our present lifetime!

I think the nature of universe is creation which can be interpreted as change.
ReplyDeleteTime is a unit invented by us to measure something which neither has a beginning nor an end. So in reality I don't really think it exists, but yes, it exists for us, as we are far too conditioned to think in terms of time.
I think karma and our present lives are tools to evolve ourselves.
