A life long journey to increase faith by that last, most important 1%! When I least expected it I was granted my wish of 100% faith. The specific catalyst was unexpected... enlightenment wasn't about the cold, yang, projecting, intellect drowning out our human emotions (as taught by male ruled religions), enlightenment has an equally, feminine, emotional, yin, requirement! The importance of our female nature definitely stood out as my most needed correction. Even the idea of ascending to heaven is the result of anti-feminine thinking in the subconscious of unhealthy minds. Rhetoric about overcoming our physical nature, ignoring physical desires, the weakness of the flesh, are values brought about by un-checked male energy attempting to neuter the power of women and the feminine side to our nature! Humans are born in flesh for a reason. The other message that stands out the most to me is the importance of forgiveness. Just as important as forgiving others, is the power of forgiving ourselves! 62. Where does the will to live come from and can it be taught?

The will to live comes from our connection to the animal kingdom. From there we inherit all of our base traits and the instinct to survive is at our root consciousness. From that instinct we also get our sex drive, that is our ‘will to live’ on a humanity/species level. There are animals that instinctively go to their death at certain times, but only humans can contemplate suicide (because it requires an ego to define the “I” in ‘I don’t want to live.’ etc.) I would say that the ‘will to live’ can be an obstacle to enlightenment but it is the foundation of the enlightened person.
