23: What's you're focus in life or what do you suggest others to focus on?

When we talk about general focus, both what I focus on and what I suggest others’ focus on, is the same. I believe that the main thing that we all need to focus on is improving ourselves and helping others. That may sound vague, but it is so intentionally. The first step to improving yourself is, knowing what you should improve. This may be difficult for some people to figure out but it really shouldn’t be. God/multiverse will direct you in a way that you will know what you need to work on. Meditate on it and ask what you need to work on, if need be. If you are still coming up blank then ask you friends and family (if you have any friends ☺). I don’t believe in original sin, I feel like it’s a crutch but none of us are perfect, or we wouldn’t have any desire to reincarnate into a human body. Of course the next step after identifying what needs work is to figure out a way to improve. Like they say, “knowing is half the battle” the other half is doing. We can talk and contemplate philosophy all day, but it has little value until applied. In fact, the way karma works is that from the moment that you are aware of something that needs fixed, you bear a much greater responsibility then when you weren’t aware of it. This is one of the reasons that religion is not popular these days, no one wants to take action in correct ways, that correlate with a positive belief system. Well, not no one, but few. Anyway, what I’m saying is karma will ‘show’ you what you need to work on. If you ignore it, karma will show you again but in a way that is more challenging then the first. The more you ignore it, the tougher things will get. This speaks to the next point, which would be the rate at which change should be made. It can’t be made much slower than karma dictates, that’s for sure. Aside from that, no one can determine that but you.

As far as helping others goes I mean it in a general. We should help others improve and evolve but in a positive, compassionate way. It’s not our job to make anyone else do anything except be the best they can be. The best they can be is on them and not our responsibility. Help others by encouraging them, as far as pointing out imperfections and criticizing, use your heart/intuition as a guide. Sometimes when I’m talking to someone I can feel that I should say something and sometimes I feel I shouldn’t. As I mentioned above, most of us know that we are not perfect, no reason to be cruel to others regarding their flaws as perceived by you. You have enough to work on don’t you? By “help”, I was actually using the term in a simpler manner. If you see someone struggling with something, help them. Give up a seat for the elderly. Hold open a door when someone is right behind you. Help a person up the stairs with a baby carriage. Keep your eyes open for ways that you can help. Doing these seemingly small things creates beautiful positive ripples in the universe. You can’t force anyone to ‘see’ or ‘do’ anything. That is part of the reason that I’m doing this work on a question bases, I’ll answer what people want to know.

With any goal we must set an ambitious yet realistic outline. Since there will always be a ‘next’ goal, we should make sure that we are enjoying the process of reaching them. After all- that’s what life is, a process of changing.
